The Brick Game order asks for Banana Barrel without explaining whether that phrase names a color, a tool, or an object. Players in the Steam discussion searched the device and repair menus, and several reached the same dead end. The developer-marked answer clears it up: Banana Barrel is one of the paint sets sold through the shop computer.

You are not looking for a yellow barrel component, a marketplace donor, or a hidden cartridge. Open the computer, visit Home Depot, and use its paint section. Purchase the set whose name matches the customer request. Once it belongs to the shop, it becomes available from the painting interface when the airbrush is active.

The order wording matters here. ReStory uses themed sets rather than asking for one exact swatch. Banana Barrel contains nine colors, and the accepted Steam answer says any of those colors can satisfy the request. The customer wants that palette family, not one mandatory shade from the grid.

Buy the set before opening the airbrush if it is not already in your collection. Then return to the Brick Game, select Banana Barrel by name, and choose whichever color combination you want from the set. This leaves room for the customization players praise without turning the order into a guessing game.

Update the game before reporting a palette bug

Official patch 1.0.011r, released August 19, includes a fix for the painting palettes interface. The note does not say that every zero-percent order had the same cause, but it is a clear reason to update before repeating a long paint job. Close ReStory, let Steam finish the download, and reload the order on the current build.

If the correct palette and broad coverage still do not register, preserve the save and capture the order card, the selected palette name, the painted device, and the build number in one report. Do not sell the device or repaint it completely before taking screenshots. A developer can investigate a visible mismatch; they cannot reconstruct which set was active from a finished, overwritten shell.

Why the wording tripped up players

The official answer supplies the mechanics, while player posts show why the wording failed. Multiple people read Banana Barrel as an unknown item, and others only discovered the Home Depot paint category after searching outside the device screen. That confusion is worth preserving because a guide that only says "paint it" repeats the problem that brought players to search.

Reddit reviewers also single out stickers and paint as one of the satisfying parts of selling repaired devices. The order is not asking you to give up that freedom. Pick any combination inside Banana Barrel, cover the device properly, and make the Brick Game look intentional. The constraint is the palette family; the design is still yours.
