Treat this as a character route, not a repair challenge

Ghost in the Frame appears on ReStory's official Steam achievement list, but the public achievement page does not provide a full walkthrough. Current community guides connect it to Baketsu and his later story event. That means better tools, a cleaner device, or a perfect marketplace week will not unlock it on their own. The important inputs are conversations and invitation choices.

A repair order can still sit between those scenes, so play normally and avoid rushing days just to force a pop-up. Finish Baketsu's available dialogue when it appears, then pay close attention when the game asks whom to invite or spend time with. The route can look idle while the calendar advances. It is safer to preserve the branch than to assume a missing achievement is a bug.

Build the Baketsu branch before the invitation

Community route maps agree on the central requirement: follow Baketsu's story rather than switching the same late branch to Kaito or Haruhi. Complete the scenes that are available to you, answer in character, and do not skip a Baketsu interaction just because the shop has a profitable order waiting. ReStory often lets business and story events compete for the player's attention.

No primary source publishes a hidden relationship score for this achievement. Do not waste time trying to count invisible points from unrelated repairs. The useful checkpoint is visible: Baketsu has appeared, his earlier conversations are complete, and the game reaches the invitation decision. If one of those conditions is missing, continue his story before blaming the achievement tracker.

Save before the late character invitation

Make a clearly named route save before choosing who to invite. Keep the Baketsu version untouched, then create separate copies for Kaito or Haruhi if you are collecting every character scene. Community walkthroughs place these invitations on different branches, so overwriting a single file can turn one missed click into another long playthrough.

On the Ghost in the Frame attempt, select Baketsu and continue his branch until the watch-related scene has played through. One guide describes the achievement as completing Baketsu's story and inviting him; another places the unlock after the watch repair sequence. Those statements fit the same route, but they differ on the exact moment Steam registers it. Let the scene finish and advance normally before deciding the unlock failed.

Why another invitation can appear to break the route
